Telecommunications and call centre outsourcing company have criticised Hull City Council for awarding a call centre contract to rivals, Serco.
Kingston Communications (KC) have managed the '300 300? service for the city council since it launched in 1999 but the contract has now been awarded to Serco who already provide similar services for other councils in England. Kingston's Chief Executive claimed that their proposal would have saved the council '750,000 over a 3 year period.
