There is bad news for the call centre employees of Homeserve today as they announce the loss of 300 employees at their call centre in The West Midlands.
The job losses appear to be as the result of the continuing shrinking of their business. This bad news comes on the back of Homeserve awaiting the results of an FSA investigation into mis-selling of their products although it is unclear whether this is at their captive or outsourced call centres. Chief Executive Richard Harpin said the company would take a £4 Million hit in relation to the 300 job-losses. Homeserve’s call centre has been well-known for being among The UK’s leading call centres and so we hope the employees find it easy to find alternative employment.
