Lloyds Banking Group plans to close its centre in Southend, Essex resulting in 800 layoffs which may be outsourced to The Philippines. In addition, insurance company Admiral is hiring over 200 new positions to three UK centres.
Capita appointed current COO Andy Parker to take on the role of Deputy CEO Teleperformance named Paulo Cesar SallesVasques as CEO. Vasques joined Teleperformance in 2005 and has led the company's Brazilian operations, as well as the firm's marketing functions. Former CEO Daniel Julien will remain Chairman.
