Netcall helps Father Christmas bring cheer to children all over the world
Thousands of children will receive a personal call direct from Santa to make Christmas that bit more magical this December, thanks to an ingenious partnership between Netcall, the leading provider of callback, auto-messaging and contact solutions, and Father Christmas Ltd, the experts on Christmas on the web. Parents, friends and family can book a call from Santa via the Father Christmas Ltd web site at www.santa.co.uk.
Once booked, children receive a pre-recorded call from Santa, who asks for them by name before telling them about his plans for Christmas and finding out what presents they hope to receive. The calls are made using Netcall’s InTouch solution, which uses a combination of recorded messages and text-to-speech to make automatic calls to recipients. Father Christmas Ltd has worked with an actor to record six cleverly scripted messages designed to appeal to different age groups, each with corresponding pauses to make the child believe it is a live call.
Using InTouch, the Father Christmas calls can be run as a seamless automated process - from the completion of the form on the website through to the delivery of the call. The combination of recorded messages and text-to-speech allows the message to be delivered to customers on time, without using any agent resource, even during peak periods when thousands of messages need to be delivered throughout the world.
